1/10000 Ways to Wear a Scarf

I learned a new fact on the plane ride home from Chicago this week - whether it's myth or fiction I'll find out in the next few months but I found it fascinating so here it is: apparently the more acorns you see fall on the ground in the fall (aka right about now), the more likely there is going to be a harsh winter this year, because this is mother nature's way of telling us/the animals to store up food for winter hibernation. Quite an aha moment eh?

Of course fall in New York is slightly different from the above scenario since for one thing I never see acorns on the ground in the middle of Manhattan. And of course, we are still experiencing temperatures as high as 70s this week. The mornings and evenings can be quite brisk though, so it's hard to make sure you're covered for the entire day. My favorite weapon when it comes to fluctuating temperature is: scarfs.

Not that I have a crazy collection of scarfs but I find that scarves help me cover the part of my body that gets cold the easiest - my neck, and it acts as a great accessory for any outfit.

My favorite pieces are silk square squares because there's so many different ways you can wear them. Here I took two contrasting square scarves that have a similar tone and did a 4-way braid with them to create a scarf-tie to match my dress and boots.
